The Scottish Arts Club in Edinburgh, Scotland, is hosting the tournament.
“We’re looking for unique and entertaining stories of up to 2,000 words on any topic. Andrew O’Hagan, a multi-award-winning author and editor-at-large of the London Review of Books, is our chief judge. In the early rounds, he is aided by a group of dedicated and ardent readers.
Short stories on any theme may be submitted for the competition.
All submissions must be written in English.
The stories submitted for the competition must have never been published before in any manner, whether online or in print, self-published or paid.
The cost of admission
The entry cost for each story is £10.
Prizes
- The first winner is awarded cash worth £1,000
- The second position is given £500;
- The third position will receive £250.
