The School of Health Information Management, Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile Ife [SHIM, OAUTHC] is presently accepting applications for the 2022/2023 academic year.
Interested applicants must have taken the 2022 UTME test and secured five (5) O’level credits [in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, and Chemistry] in not more than two sittings.
In addition, all ND candidates should be aware that ultimate admission to the institution will be based on the JAMB-UTME approved cut-off scores for Polytechnics, Monotechnics, and Colleges of Education in the 2022/2023 academic session, as determined by JAMB.
Graduates of the institution must engage in the Federal Government of Nigeria’s National Youth Service Corps Scheme (NYSC) after completing the course.
Admission Requirements to the OAUTHC School of Health
- Candidates seeking ND admission must have acquired a minimum of five (5) credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, Chemistry/Physics, and any other subject like as Geography, Economics, and Civic Education in not more than two sittings in the WASC/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB.
- Candidates who took the JAMB examination in 2022 and selected this school [SHIM OAUTHC, Ile-Ife] in their JAMB application form are eligible to apply.
- Candidates who took the JAMB EXAMINATION in 2022 but did not choose SHIM, OAUTHC, or ILE-IFE but want to change to SHIM, OAUTHC, or ILE-IFE are eligible to apply.
- Candidates interested in pursuing the 2-year HND program must have obtained, in addition to 5 O’level credits, the National Diploma Certificate (not below Lower Credit) in Health Information Management, as well as proof of completion of a one-year (compulsory) Industrial Attachment in a reputable health institution, or an individual with a technician/professional diploma certificate from a recognized school of health technology.
- During training, pregnancy is not permitted.
Admissions Requirements
Candidates will be chosen based on their academic qualifications, as well as their performance in the written examination and oral interview. The written exam for ND candidates will include the following topics:
- Mathematics, English Language and General paper

Interested ND applicants should pay a non-refundable fee of N2,000.00 via REMITTA to OAUTHC, Ile-Ife account, while HND applicants should pay N6,500.00 via REMITTA to OAUTHC, Ile-Ife account.

- Application forms must be collected upon presentation of proof of payment.

The SHIM, OAUTHC must receive completed application forms no later than Tuesday, August 23, 2022. All applicants will have a post-JAMB examination/oral interview on Wednesday, August 24th and Thursday, August 25th, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. in the school grounds.
