National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Essay Competition 2023. Register Now!
An annual essay competition on open and distance learning has been established, according to the vice chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (ODL).

The award was created as a way for students to engage in discursive academic style communication with various University departments about their opinions and experiences. The essay would discuss one or more aspects of NOUN’s operations as well as the pleasure and interaction of the student with the pertinent area. The Vice-ODL Chancellor’s Essay Competition should be the name of the competition. It will be carried out yearly.

National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN Essay Competition 2023 Eligibility
- Undergraduate: Students in the last year of undergraduate programs at all faculties of the university are encouraged to submit entries.
- Postgraduate: Final-year postgraduate students from all faculties are encouraged to submit essays on the subject of “My experience as a student of Open and Distance Learning (ODL) at the National Open University of Nigeria.”
Entry Procedures for the National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Essay Competition 2023
- Only final year undergraduate and postgraduate students at the National Open University of Nigeria are eligible to participate (NOUN).
- Essays must be between 1,500 and 2,000 words in length.
- For this year’s competition, entries should be sent through email to vcessays@noun.edu.ng with the subject “2022 Vice-Essay Chancellor’s Competition.”
- All Essays must be turned in by midnight on January 31, 2023.
- By February 28, 2023, winning entrants will be notified of their success.
NOUN Essay Competition 2023 Awards/Prizes
For undergraduate and graduate students, respectively, the prize categories are as follows:

| Overall Best Essay | A certificate and cash prize of N50,000.00 |
| 2nd Place Position | A certificate and cash prize of N30,000.00 |
| 3rd Place Position | A certificate and cash prize of N20,000.00 |
| Best Essay in a Faculty | A certificate and cash prize of N20,000.00 |
Note: At a convocation, prizes will be declared and awarded.
