How to set up Yoast Plugin in your website – Configuration

Yoast plugin is a powerful plugin that enables you to write professional search engine optimization on your website
or blog. In this article, I will be guiding you on how to set up or configure the Yoast plugin for maximum performance.

Yoast Plugin installation and set up

• Log into your WordPress dashboard
• Hover your mouse on plugins
• Click on add new
• At the top right-hand side, locate the search bar and type in Yoast plugin
• Click on install now
• After installing, click on activate
• After activating the plugin, a new panel will be created at the left-hand side called SEO
• Hover you mouse on the SEO panel

• Click on General
  the general has four tables
  *Dashboard: the dashboard is an area to upgrade your Yoast plugin from free to premium
  *Features: under the features, it is recommended that you turn all the features on (click on the question mark to see a short description about each of the features before turning them on.)
  *Integration: This tab gives you the ability to integrate third-party products such as SEMrush, Wincher, Ryte, Zapier, Algolia
  *Webmaster Tools: This tab gives you the ability to verify your websites with search engines e.g. Baidu, Bing, Google, Yandex, etc.

Baidu is a Chinese Search engine. you will need to have an understanding of china Language to verify your website with Baidu

How To Get Your Website Verified with Bing

• Login to your dashboard
• Hover your mouse on SEO
• Click on general
• under click on the features tab
• Then locate the xml sitemap and click on the question mark
• Click On see the XML Sitemap
