How to buy on jiji: complete guide
in order to start buying on jiji, you need to create an account on jiji as a buyer not as a seller (this requires a one button click to sign up with your email, Facebook, etc.. But if you want to create a professional buyer account, you should always go to settings and complete the settings such as adding an active phone number so that sellers can call back in case you go off, etc.). Once done, you can then proceed below:
- on the homepage of jiji’s mobile app, click on the product category of interest and select sub categories in order to narrow your product search or just type the name of the product you are searching for in the provided search box.
- select the location where you want to check for sellers that you can buy from (it’s best you select location closest to you in order to reduce transportation cost)
- it is however, optional if you want to filter by price range. but in most cases, you should leave the prices so that you can see all products from various sellers and make your comparison
- If you see any product of interest, click on it and view the product descriptions, price (fixed or negotiable), sellers name and address, and the reviews from other buyers on that particular product seller.
- If you are comfortable or you like the product you are seeing, click on show contact and call the seller instantly for delivery or for office address direction (note: don’t make payment yet)
- You can also chat the seller up via the chat button in places you do not have call credit or do not want to call. you can even send voice not via the website or app
